KCS ended 2018 strongly, with the completion of two major, high-profile contracts – one locally and one in Edinburgh.

Its skilled operatives travelled to Scotland’s capital to undertake a project for Scottish Widows. Located in the heart of Edinburgh’s financial district, the Scottish Widows headquarters required restoration work to all cladding and window frames, as well as a full clean of its windows. This was performed to the usual high quality in time for the festive break.

Scottish Widows is highly respected and long-established, having been providing financial services since 1815, so it was a privilege to complete this contract for such a prestigious client.

Meanwhile, as part of KCS’s contract with Siemens, its operatives completed a full clean of the production area of the industrial manufacturer’s blade factory in Hull. Operatives worked hard to meet the tight deadline, so that everything was ready for Siemens’ Winter Wonderland tour, which saw some 1,500 family and friends visit the site for a memorable event.

Siemens’ £310m blade factory at Alexandra Docks in Hull is part of a vast “green port” built by Siemens and partners at docks that used to export Yorkshire coal.
