Kingston Cleaning Services (KCS), the Hull-headquartered cleaning company working across Yorkshire and Lincolnshire, has announced that it will be supporting Sunshine House through a variety of charitable endeavours and donations during 2020.

Sunshine House is a wonderful and hugely valuable charity offering short breaks for children and young people with long term conditions, life limiting conditions and/or complex health needs.

The charity is made up of children’s, adult and disability nurses, health and development practitioners and health car support workers. As well as providing short breaks, they also offer end of life care if Sunshine House is the child, young person and/or their family’s preferred place for care. Parents and carers can receive training and support on how to use specialist equipment.

Children and young people aged 0-18 from Hull and East Riding can receive the services provided by Sunshine House 24 hours a day.

Sunshine House is the latest charity to receive support from KCS. Its team has been supporting the Humber Bridge Sportive since 2016. This fun, non-competitive cycle event and family fun day uses the Humber Bridge as a focal point, with riders tackling a 22-, 42- or 62-mile route. In 2019 the event raised money for two local causes: Paul for Brain Recovery – which helps people to regain control of their life after brain injury; and The Spirit of Goole – which helps to educate young people, especially those from deprived backgrounds, in a variety of fields, primarily aviation, engineering & STEM-based subjects.
