Kingston Cleaning Services has taken an important step in supporting the wellbeing of its workforce by investing in Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) training.

This move reflects the company’s commitment to creating a safer, more supportive environment where colleagues feel confident recognising and responding to signs of mental distress.

The MHFA training equips team members with the skills to:

  • Spot early indicators of common mental health challenges
  • Start supportive, practical conversations
  • Guide individuals towards appropriate professional support

By embedding these capabilities within the organisation, Kingston Cleaning Services aims to reduce stigma, encourage early intervention, and help ensure no one feels they have to face difficulties alone.

A Culture That Prioritises People

Michelle Page, Contract Cleaning Director at Kingston Cleaning Services, said:

“Investing in Mental Health First Aid training is part of our wider effort to put employee wellbeing at the heart of the business. With mental health challenges affecting workplaces across the UK, it is important we provide practical, accessible support for our team.”

Staff who complete the MHFA programme will become approachable points of contact for colleagues, offering reassurance and signposting to further resources when needed. While Mental Health First Aiders do not replace professional care, they provide a vital first line of understanding and connection.

We are proud to keep building a workplace culture where people feel supported, listened to, and valued.
