Kingston Cleaning Services (KCS) is delighted to announce a new major national contract with Melton-based retail chain Heron Foods Ltd.
Operatives from the Hull-headquartered cleaning company will deliver gutter cleaning for the frozen foods giant on a bi-annual basis at 170 stores throughout the UK, from the North East down to South Lincolnshire, the Midlands, the West Country and Wales.
Heron Foods Ltd. was first registered in October 1978 as Grindells Butchers. The first store was opened by the Grindell family on Holderness Road, Hull in 1979. In 1981 the company changed name to Heron Frozen Foods. Shortly afterwards, Anthony Grindell sold the business to his sister and her family – the Heucks.
The company’s head office is at Melton in the East Riding of Yorkshire and it has around 250 outlets, most of which are located throughout the North of England and the Midlands. Heron Foods has developed its business in selling frozen and convenience store goods at a discount, the majority of which are household brands.
All work in the new contract between KCS and Heron Foods Ltd will be undertaken out of office hours by operatives who are fully trained in working at height. This will ensure any disruption is kept to an absolute minimum. They will use a variety of equipment at the 170 national sites including mobile elevating work platforms (MEWPs), gutter vac systems and ladders.
At each site KCS attends, an in-depth photographic report is produced of the cleaning work that has been carried out. This gives customers complete peace of mind that they always receive the requisite high quality of work.
