The study found that students were distracted by untidy environments, affecting their ability to take on new information and achieve in school. The report also found that failing to keep learning environments clean and tidy could have a negative impact on students’ physical wellbeing by contributing to stress levels.
Poor hygiene in schools also has the potential to exacerbate allergies, spread germs and increase the likelihood of pests moving in.
