You may think that dedicated students would be able to learn no matter where they are, but in a 2008 study, researchers found a direct link between clean learning environments and students’ ability to learn.
The study found that students were distracted by untidy environments, affecting their ability to take on new information and achieve in school. The report also found that failing to keep learning environments clean and tidy could have a negative impact on students’ physical wellbeing by contributing to stress levels.
Poor hygiene in schools also has the potential to exacerbate allergies, spread germs and increase the likelihood of pests moving in.
With so many people passing through schools every day cleanliness can drop quickly. It is vital to have a trusted cleaning team on hand to carry out regular cleans to help achieve:
- Improved attendance
- Increased motivation to learn
- Good first impressions for visitors
- Improved lifespan of well-maintained facilities
