Project Overview
Wykeland is the developer and operator behind the Flemingate centre in Beverley, managing the retail and leisure destination and ensuring the public areas remain clean, safe, and welcoming for visitors. Kingston Cleaning Services provides commercial cleaning and contract cleaning on site, with a dedicated team working seven days a week to maintain consistently high standards across the centre.
Our day to day commercial contract cleaning covers key high footfall zones including entrances, corridors, lift lobbies, and stairwells, helping protect the overall visitor experience. By having cleaners on site throughout the day, we can respond quickly to spillages, tracked in dirt, and weather related grime, supporting a well presented environment in every season.
What We Did
With winter weather setting in, the stairwells at Flemingate can become much dirtier much more quickly due to moisture and grit being tracked in. To keep the area safe, clean, and presentable, we increased the frequency of stairwell checks and cleans during this period.
Our team also carried out a more intensive clean, putting in some good old fashioned elbow grease by scrubbing each stair by hand, with particular focus on the treads and step edges where dirt builds up most. Winter always brings extra challenges, but the team remains committed to keeping the stairwells looking their best for visitors.
