Project Overview
Kingston Cleaning Services were appointed to carry out gutter cleaning works at Sedamyl UK in Selby.
Sedamyl UK is a wheat-processing manufacturer, producing ingredients such as starch, gluten, sweeteners, alcohol and animal feed for the food, drink and industrial sectors across the UK and Europe.
Due to the size and layout of the site, the project required safe high-level access and specialist equipment to reach gutters across the industrial buildings and hard-to-access areas. MEWP access and a Gutter Vac system were used to complete the works safely and efficiently.
Regular gutter cleaning is especially important on large manufacturing sites like Sedamyl, helping to prevent water damage, protect buildings and maintain effective drainage across the site.
What We Did
Our team carried out gutter cleaning across the site using MEWP access to safely reach high-level areas.
For hard-to-reach sections, a Gutter Vac system was used to clear debris from the gutters without the need for direct manual access. This allowed the team to work safely and effectively around the site’s buildings, pipework and industrial infrastructure.
The works helped ensure rainwater could flow correctly through the guttering and drainage systems, reducing the risk of blockages, water overflow, leaks and long-term damage to the site’s buildings.
By completing this preventative maintenance, Kingston Cleaning Services helped Sedamyl UK protect its facilities, reduce the risk of costly repairs and support safe day-to-day operations across the site.
