Project Overview
Kingston Cleaning Services was appointed to carry out a full external gutter and solar panel clean for Hull University, helping protect the condition, efficiency and long-term performance of the buildings. Access to the higher roofline areas required the use of a spider track MEWP, alongside heated Reach & Wash systems, allowing our team to work safely and effectively across the site. The project was focused on maintaining essential building infrastructure, preventing avoidable issues caused by blocked gutters and ensuring the solar panels could continue operating as efficiently as possible.
What We Did
Our team completed a thorough clean of the external gutters and solar panels using specialist access equipment and professional cleaning methods suited to the site. Regular gutter cleaning helps prevent the build-up of leaves, debris and standing water, reducing the risk of blockages, overflow, damp and other costly structural problems. At the same time, cleaning the solar panels removes dirt, dust and bird fouling that can reduce energy generation, helping the system perform at its best. By carrying out this work, we helped the university protect its investment, improve energy efficiency and keep the property safe, well maintained and environmentally responsible.
