Project Overview
As a trusted cleaning contractor for local authorities, Kingston Cleaning Services was instructed by York Council to carry out a full external clean of the West Offices building. The requirement included both cladding and window cleaning, and due to the council’s operational schedule, all work had to be completed over a weekend to minimise disruption to staff and visitors. The building’s modern façade, consisting of brick and aluminium cladding with extensive glazing, required specialist access and planning due to its height and architectural design.
What We Did
Using MEWPs (Mobile Elevated Work Platforms), our trained operatives carried out a comprehensive clean across the full exterior. We employed a pressure washing system to deep-clean the cladding, tackling surface grime and environmental build-up. For the windows, we used a heated reach-and-wash system, ensuring a streak-free finish across all glass panels. This combination of heat, reach, and precision cleaning delivered outstanding visual results while upholding safety and access compliance throughout the project. The outcome was a visibly refreshed and professionally maintained façade that restored the building’s civic presence in the heart of the city.
