Kingston Cleaning Services is proud to sponsor Lewis Townsley, a 14-year-old from Howden who has been selected to represent Team GB at the 2025 European Barefoot Water Skiing Championships in France this August.
Lewis recently impressed at the British National Championships, taking silver and receiving a “greatest achievement” award. As one of the youngest members of the GB squad, he will compete in the under-17 category in tricks and slalom.
For anyone unfamiliar, barefoot water skiing is a high-adrenaline sport where athletes skim across the surface of the water at speeds of up to 40mph using only the soles of their feet. It demands balance, strength and precision, and is rarely seen in the UK.
Lewis first gave it a go at White Cross Water Ski Club near Selby and has quickly progressed through the sport, earning a silver award in British Water Ski & Wakeboard’s Cutting Edge programme.
We are pleased to support Lewis as he takes this exciting next step in his sporting journey, proudly representing both Team GB and East Yorkshire.
